Members’ lunch and estate tour at Blenheim Palace

- Details: RASE members are invited to Blenheim Palace for a members’ lunch and tour of the Blenheim Palace Estate. The event will begin with pre-lunch drinks on the terrace of the Orangery Restaurant, providing an opportunity to network with other members before lunch is served. The tour of the estate will be via tractor and trailer, and will include areas of the estate usually not open to the public. Guests will be taken around the magnificent World Heritage Site stopping at key locations to discuss some of the historic monuments in the Parkland and also some of their management challenges today, including the many events it plays host to. The team will also cover some of the wider aspects of caring for an Estate like Blenheim today including how land is being used for a mixture of energy, food and woodlands to become carbon neutral. This event is open to Members, Fellows and Corporate Members of RASE.

Members’ lunch, AGM and farm tour at The Allerton Project

- Details: 11.30am until 4:45pm, Tuesday 4th June, 2024 RASE members are invited to the society’s Annual General Meeting, which will be followed by a members’ lunch and farm walk. The farm walk will be led by Dr Alastair Leake, the 2023 winner of the RASE National Agricultural Award. It will include an overview of the history of The Allerton Project, as well as seeing current research and projects in action on the farm. This event is open to Members, Fellows and Corporate Members of RASE.

Farm of the Future: Putting regenerative livestock production into practice

- Details: Plumpton College, East Sussex 10am to 4:30pm, Thursday 30th May, 2024 Farmers are invited to join RASE for a Farm of the Future demonstration day at Plumpton College in East Sussex. The event will include a farm tour and machinery and soils demonstrations, plus talks and panel discussions on the following topics: Regenerative agriculture and future farm policy – opportunities for livestock farmers What does regenerative agriculture mean to you? Current livestock health and welfare issues Sustainable waste management This event is being delivered by Innovation for Agriculture on behalf of RASE, funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. This event is free for farmers to attend, but registration is essential as places are strictly limited.
